1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to deliver directory placement services and communicate transaction updates:
- Public Challenger Listing Data: Product name, product website URL, promotional pitch/punchline, and optional founder social handle (e.g. X/Twitter).
- Contact & Notification Data: Founder email address provided during checkout for sending payment receipts and outbid notification alerts.
- Technical Logs: IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamps for fraud mitigation and rate limiting.
2. Payment Information Security
Zero Credit Card Storage on Our Servers
SaaS Rivals never sees, stores, or transmits raw credit card or banking information. All payment processing is managed directly by our PCI-DSS Level 1 certified Merchant of Record: Dodo Payments.
3. Strict Email Redaction Policy
Emails Are Strictly Internal & Redacted
The email address you submit is used exclusively for sending your transactional receipt and automated alerts if a competitor outbids your spot. Founder email addresses are strictly stripped from all public APIs and are never sold or shared with third-party advertisers.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use minimal, privacy-centric analytics (e.g. Google Analytics / Microsoft Clarity) to understand traffic patterns and detect broken user flows. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies or behavioral advertising networks.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
- The right to rectify inaccurate data or request deletion of your listing.
- The right to opt-out of outbid notification emails.
